Breed Update: Void Petz V2!

Original Post Date: 2026-04-29

Twelve examples of catz and dogz from the Void Petz V2 files. Each is black with coloured eyes of different combinations.

Default AC Name: Dark (Void Cat) and Space (Void Dog)

Hexed From: Maine Coon (instead of Desert Lynx) and Great Dane (still)

Reasoning: Using a palette for inheritable funky eyes!

Variations: 169 for each (13 eye colour possibilities for each eye).

Ivy's Fave: Anything that has steel-110 , dusty-120 , green-130 , or black-244 eyes (though admittedly I do like all of the other colours too)

Other Notes:

After my various experiences with palette swapping, the numerous palettes I've made, and my endless desire for colours outside the inheritable range to be inheritable, I figured I wanted to redo my Voidcat and Voiddog files so that their funky eyes were inheritable through the power of palettes.

Like with the BirdWorm V4 file, the variations are unlinked, meaning your Void Cat or Void Dog can have eye colours of any of the following:

Every possibly colour of the eyes of any given Void Cat or Void Dog from this file. These are labelled with the corresponding numbers in the Petz code. 2 is dark green, 6 is dark teal, 40 is yellow, 50 is red, 60 is orange, 70 is pink, 90 is blue, 100 is green, 110 is magenta, 120 is purple, 130 is dark purple, 203 is grey, and 244 is black.

This also lets your pet have any kind of heterochromia! As always, only the pet's right eye (left to us) is used in passing down eye colour, so keep that in mind. Single-colour eyes are also possible, but relatively uncommon compared to heterochromia.

Unfortunately, a small oversight in my range choices means that Void Petz with cream-40 or similar eyes will instead pass down pink-75 eyes instead, but I'm pink-75's number one fan, so I really don't care. All the others work though!

I adjusted the ears and tails of both breedz for a little uniqueness, made them a bit bigger and skinnier, and I manually gave the Void Catz their ear tufts this time instead of basing them off the Desert Lynx. As a consequence, Void Catz have incredibly soft meows for looking like... that.

You can find this breed in my Downloads. It's P4 only for obvious (palette) reasons, but I also had some serious issues trying to make a non-OW version, so it's just OWs for now.
