When I was younger, one of the games I used to play a lot for no real reason was Bejeweled for HTML5, back when I used Chrome (eww) and it was on the Chrome Web Store (remember that thing?). The Chrome Web Store is also where I got my very first taste of Angry Birds, which may come up again in the future.
Bejeweled for HTML5 is, of course, just a watered-down port of Bejeweled 3, something I only realized when I got Bejeweled 3 for Nintendo DS (well, technically I had a 3DS, but it's a DS game) and recognized the background.
Bejeweled's existence probably wouldn't mean a whole lot to me if it weren't for two things:
So, I decided to "honour" Bejeweled 3's contributions to my furry nonsense by making a set of dogz based off of the seven colours of gems in that game!
Bejeweled has never been consistent in what they call their gems, but I went with the Bejeweled Stars names, so meet Ruby, Amber, Topaz, Emerald, Sapphire, Amethyst, and Diamond! (Based off Bejeweled 2 internal names instead, they'd be Garnet, Citrine, Jade, Peridot, Diamond, Agate, and Pearl, lol.) They use Andi@Cirrutopia's palette "cirrainbow2"!
I also decided to take three of the backgrounds from Bejeweled 3 and turn them into playscenes! I hate how the "midair" perspective leaves so little ground to work with, but they're still fun and surprisingly Petzy!
