Bluescreen's Age: 0
Today, I grabbed my two BirdWorms, Blueberry Jam and Dust Bunny. These two were chosen for their combined genetics, not necessarily for their looks, since I plan on brexing the baby a bit anyway! Still, starting with a dark blue is a bonus.
I tried for babies and wound up with two ginger ones, but then got a blue baby, who I've named Bluescreen. He will be our mascot!
Blueberry Jam likes brown, fish, and milk, and Dust Bunny likes brown, fish, and catnip, so I think it is safe to assume Bluescreen will like red, brown, fish, catnip, and milk. I'm using Mythic Silence's sweet food bowl alongside the provided PFM catnip and PFM fish flavoured cat food. Likewise, for toys, I have grabbed the yarn ball, the red tasselled pillow, the small "driftwood" stick, and the burlap scratching post, all of which have colour adjectives of red or brown. For now, because Bluescreen is so tiny and can't eat solid food, I also have the milk bottle.

Everyone is happy and fed, so I think I'm going to log off for now...
Bluescreen's Age: 3 (I had no idea 3 is normally skipped on the brainslider, so I set it myself)
Bluescreen opened his eyes! He looks kind of odd with the 172 irises, but such is the life of the BirdWorm V4 file. At least the other broken things are fixed... hopefully. Bluescreen is absolutely adorable, though I really wish I could just brex his eyelids already... Ginger doesn't suit him!
Today, since Bluescreen is up and moving, I'm checking to see if Bluescreen and his family are Cheese Cultists.
Blueberry Jam and Dust Bunny are definitely both Cheese Cultists!
Bluescreen is interested in the cheese, but I dont think he can eat it yet. A good sign so far!
I love this little family so far :')
Bluescreen's Age: 6
Just a normal day so far.
Bluescreen ate solid food today! Dust Bunny wasn't very happy with him at first, lol. But she warmed up quickly. (Also, don't worry—whatever is going on with Dust Bunny's beak shouldn't happen in the fixed BirdWorm V4 file anymore!)
I turned mouseholes back on, and a mouse ran out! Bluescreen didn't get a look at it, but Blueberry Jam did. He was kind of... bored with it.
Bluescreen's Age: 9
One more day before Bluescreen can come out on his own. (One more day until I can finally fix his eyelids and irises too... muahahahaha...)
Until then, he gets to spend more time with Dust Bunny and Blueberry Jam. Nothing out of the ordinary has really happened today either. Bluescreen seems very fond of the yarn ball and stick.
Bluescreen's Age: 12
Bluescreen is now a... kitten? Chick? Instead of a hatchling? Gods, I wish you could rename stages internally the way you can with breed names.
On the bright side, this means I can finally brex him a little!
I gave him blue eyelids, fixed his irises, and made his spots a white-244 instead of what I call offwhite-202. As it turns out, his irises were blue-175, not 172. I also fixed his beak (which reminds me, I fixed the BirdWorm V4 file in the same way).
Hmm... Bluescreen being a blue BirdWorm with white spots makes me kind of want to add a wizard texture to him...
I also made sure to check him in PetzChecker. I was correct about him liking red and brown and all three of fish, milk, and catnip, but since I have since learned more about favourite flavours and colours (more on that another day!), I'm actually surprised by that! I was under the impression that petz could only take one favourite flavour from each parent. Looks like I still have research to do...
I also finally have proof that Bluescreen is a cheese cultist. He devoured this thing not even two seconds after it was on the floor.
I put Bluescreen in the default wizard sweater to see how the pattern looks. It looks really cool, but I think if I'm going to texture him, I'm going to put my own spin on it...
I love when petz are too sleepy to react to mice.
Bluescreen's Age: 15
Another normal day.
I got Bluescreen catnipped today. I always forget petz can get sick from eating it.
Naturally, I had to fix that.
Bluescreen's Age: 21? (I have no clue what happened there.)
Somehow, despite opening the game today for the first time in five days, Bluescreen has aged by 6 instead of 3. Aside from that, it's just another typical day, nothing special.
Bluescreen is at a happy and healthy weight of 59. I don't like letting petz drop below 50 most of the time.
I grabbed a mouse for Bluescreen. He took it and carried it around for a bit, then let it go.
I also got Bluescreen to drink from the tap! I had to try it after seeing others do it with their raised catz, lol.
Bluescreen's Age: 27 (seriously what is happening to my game)
Bluescreen's adulthood approaches fast! One more day till he's 30. (It sounds so funny without Petz context, lol.) Or will it be one day until he's 33?? Literally why.
Today, I figured I'd spoil us all by getting some GIFs of Bluescreen hanging around.
Bluescreen's Age: 27 (again)
I think my game has finally caught on to its time fuckery and has made it so that 10 days = 30 age, as it should be. Today should be just a normal day of Petzing.
As a side note, I can't believe I've taken 40 photos for this project already. Here's #41, a GIF of Bluescreen flopping over from the sheer weight of Fullness 100. (Mind the cursor; I was AFK when this happened.)
I introduced Bluescreen to the auto rolling ball today, mostly to try and hone his catching skills. He... wanted to bat it more than pounce on it, but that's OK.
I also got to see Bluescreen do a little bounce when I pulled the ball out!
Next time I open Petz, Bluescreens will be an adult! It's exciting! Maybe I should introduce him to some of my other creturs...
Bluescreen's Age: 33 (oh boy)
I spoke too soon when I said the game finally caught onto the age issue.
Today is a normal day. I'm busy today, so I'll save getting everybody to meet until tomorrow.
Bluescreen's Age: 39 (literally wtf, game)
Bluescreen gets to meet some of my other petz today!
Bluescreen met Boreal first. I'm... not sure if they like each other, or if they hate each other, or what...
Bluescreen met Lopho next. I think these two definitely like each other!
Bluescreen met Sebbie as well. The two seemed to get along at first, but then Bluescreen jumped onto the ceiling and Sebbie decided he didn't like that.
Finally, I had Bluescreen meet Sunny, who probably will be the other site mascot! I had to reintroduce my Tinybaby Dog file to get her out, though. Lol.
Based on the happy sneezing from Sunny, they're pretty fond of each other!
Bluescreen's Age: 45 (whyyyyy)
It's been a week and a bit since my last update here, mostly because I had literally 0 time for Petz between preparing for school and other assorted life stuff. But now I'm back!
Today I took Bluescreen to visit the other playscenes, but almost none of them had items appear. Lol. Bluescreen did pose nicely in front of the pirate flag, though.
Bluescreen's Age: 51 (ugh)
Time to introduce Bluescreen to some new toys! Why? For fun, mostly.
First up was this ruby (a separate item from the playscenes thanks to Megan@Oasis), which Bluescreen was initially confused by but soon liked!
Next, I showed Bluescreen the brown-coloured ball from Gyiyg's paw ball collection, which he really seemed to like!
Then it was the red feather. Bluescreen played with it but lost interest quickly.
Next was the coconut, which Bluescreen decided to... fall asleep with?
He continued to sleep even as the RC car nefariously tried to run him over.
Finally, I brought out a confetti ball, which he was only intrigued by for a moment... until I started shaking it, and he watched it so intently I fear for the poor guy's head.
Bluescreen's Age: 57 (I guess this is my life now)
In trying to pack items for GIF-collecting today, Bluescreen knocked out the brown ball! He then did it again during the recording session. He must really like it...
Other than that, today was a usual day of shenanigans. I'll have to think of things to do with him for the next little while...
Bluescreen's Age: 63 (yep.)
It's been a long time! Now that my midterms are over, and I have an excuse to have the geriatric computer on more (it won't connect to uni WiFi and trying to figure out why), I've decided to take the opportunity to spend time with poor Bluescreen, who undoubtedly should have run away from neglect because of all my booting and shutting down without playing Petz... if I didn't have Prism's PetzA, that is.
BirdWorms have Persian brains, so I doubt I will get very far, but I have decided today to try and teach Bluescreen a trick. I've pulled out the fish treats, the Mythic Silence yogurt treats, and Gyiyg's catnip "CBD" treats, just for variety.
As a side note, Bluescreen sat very cutely on the chair in the toy closet while I was writing this.
Bluescreen is, of course, a little shit (affectionate), so he stole the treat from my hand a few times while I was trying to open the screen recorder. He then had the audacity to yoink a treat from my hand and swallow it with the smuggest expression.
At least he also fed himself while I was busy editing the GIFs...
... but he's almost certainly too sleepy for this.
Bluescreen's Age: 69 (hehe.)
I just finished setting up Petz 4 on my new laptop! Everything is so... smooth. Eeeew. At least the game runs super fast now.
Also, at least Bluescreen is happy! He's finally free from my dreaded folder.
Bluescreen's Age: 75
Today was just another day of checking up on Bluescreen before I go to class. I also fixed my smoothness problem! Now I have another problem: the Petz window is so tiny...
I managed to catch him on screen-recording coughing up a hairball.
Twice. Poor baby.
Bluescreen's Age: 81
I can't believe Bluescreen is almost 100 already! It feels like he was just a baby not very long ago. Whenever I reread this page I can see the difference in size, but you really don't see it day by day without a comparison.
Bluescreen can't decide what he wants to do, lmao.
He is getting some fun out of balancing on auto-rolling balls, though.
Bluescreen's Age: 87
Today, I am taking Bluescreen to different playscenes!
First, we're visiting the Backyard! Bluescreen caught not one, but two mice. He also had the butterfly land on him.
I also caught the glitch where a mouse turns into the last frame of its mousehole animation when it's carried offscreen!
Next, the beach. Bluescreen got to see the hermit crab!
Next, Arabia. Bluescreen really, really does not like the lamp sound.
Next, the circus! Bluescreen took a nap by the drumset.
Time for snow! Bluescreen was intrigued by my snowman-decorating.
And now for sand! Bluescreen enjoyed playing with the purple feather in the South Seas.
Finally, we hit the Wild West. Bluescreen was both intrigued and concerned by an arrowhead.
Bluescreen's Age: 93
The time of hitting 100 approaches quickly! I estimate Bluescreen will be 100 on Day 22.
Today is another normal day. I'm starting to think about ways to hex Bluescreen a little to make him more visually interesting for the site!
To start off for now, I've given Bluescreen a wizard texture!
Bluescreen's Age: 99 (almost there!)
It's almost time for this series to end! Hard to believe that Bluescreen has grown so much in just 21 days.
I'm actually updating this from my university, lol. I have a 6-hour gap between classes today (because seminars don't start until next week :/) so why not use that for Petz time?
Bluescreen is looking dapper in his new wizard pattern.
Bluescreen's Age: 100!
It's official—Bluescreen is 100! I kind of wish we got certificates for this in Petz 4 like we do in 5... but it's okay.
Thank you to anyone who's read all the way through! I hope you enjoyed watching Bluescreen grow, and I hope you enjoy his presence on the site!
