Raising a Tiny Fluff

Day 1

The Baby's Age: ?

Welcome back to another raising project! This time, I'm doing something kind of different - I'm not going to see what the baby looks like until it's born!

Two dogs in Petz. One of them, Sunny II, is a an orange, fluffy dog with red spots and a red left ear, one pink eye, and one light blue eye. The other, Fox, is a tan dog with orange markings on his face and green eyes, wearing a green and brown plaid sweater.

Funnily enough, these two hated each other at first. Some Love Potion fixed that, thankfully. And yes, you better believe I'm doing this the old-fashioned way...

Day 2

The Baby's Age: ?

Sunny II and Fox chase after a rainbow disc toy, which lands on the floor. Fox trips.

Today was just a normal day. I brought out Gyiyg@Polygondwanaland's colour-changing flying disk, which is Sunny's favourite toy, and both her and Fox chased it around!

Day 3

Fluffball's Age: 0

The baby was born today! I've named her Fluffball.

Fluffball, lying against Sunny II, rolls over and goes through a suckling animation before rolling back. Sunny II occasionally licks Flufflball.

Fluffball, with her eyes open, stretches and yawns and then hiccups.

She's not quite as small as I figured she would be (she's almost as long as Fox is), but she is adorable.

Day 4

Fluffball's Age: 3

Sunny II sits behind Fluffball and barks.

This time I remembered not to change the age of the baby, but it still showed up as 3 anyway. Weird.

A hand-like cursor pets Fluffball, who then rolls over.

Fluffball is so cute. Look at those massive paws! I'm really happy about the sheepie heritage.

Day 5

Fluffball's Age: 6

Fluffball is old enough to stand on her own! Though she seems not to want to... Based on the heavy flopping, she inherited the sheepie trot!

My screen recorder decided to glitch out, so today will be a short day.

Day 6

Fluffball's Age: 9

Fluffball flops onto the ground from a height and stands up unfazed.

I finally captured the flop! As soon as Fluffball is her own being I'm checking her personality out.

I also got this cute loop of Sunny II chasing her tail.

Day 7

Fluffball's Age: 12

A pop-up window declaring Fluffball to be old enough to be on her own.

Fluffball is old enough to be on her own! You know what this means — time to look at genetics!

I was right — Fluffball is a trotter (Acrobaticness 0)! This view is from Oasis, btw.

As for looks, Fluffball inherited Sunny's blue-172 eyes, but also got Fox's teal-6 eyes on the other chromosome. (The parents' other eye colours are pink-75 and blue-174, respectively.) She's also, according to LNZ Pro, 26.67% Daschund, Papillon, and Sheepdog, 13.33% Scottie, and 6.67% Dalmatian. Checks out!

Fluffball's favourite colours are white and green! Seeing as Fox likes white and red, and Sunny likes all colours, I think it's safe to say this is a rare(?) case where only one favourite of each is passed down.

And, finally, Fluffball likes... exclusively beef flavour. Huh. That said, she is also a Cheese Cultist.

Day 8

Fluffball's Age: 15

Let's try and figure out Fluffball's favourite toy today!

I've chosen a selection of green and white toys, mostly green. (To ensure my greenscreen works, I've changed the background.)

Fluffball runs and trips with the green flying disk.

While she played with everything, she definitely gravitated towards the green flying disk once I brought her back out a second time! Like I mentioned earlier, Sunny's own favourite is a disk too, so this was fitting!

Day 9

Fluffball's Age: 18

Now that I know Fluffball's favourite toy, it's time to play!

Fluffball runs and tries to jump and catch the green flying disk, but falls.

Fluffball, again, tries and fails at catching the disk.

Fluffball fails to catch the disk again.

Considering trotters have Acrobaticness of 0, and Acrobaticness is thought to be related to how well Dogz catch disks, I wonder if she'll always fail... but I have faith in her!

Day 10

Fluffball's Age: 21

Just a normal day. I'm getting busy with school stuff lately, since it's the end of the year, so it's nice to get a small break.

Fluffball trips twice while running after the green flying disk.

I can definitely see the 0 Acrobaticness in Fluffball. Poor thing trips all the time...
